The wood technology company Modvion is building a meter wind-turbine tower made of wood, the tallest of its kind, in Sweden. The tower will be the company’s first commercial installation and is being built for the energy company Varberg Energi, in the municipality of Skara in Sweden.
“This is the start of a new green industry; by using Nordic raw materials and Swedish technology, we can enable climate-neutral wind power for a growing global market,” said Otto Lundman, Modvion CEO.

Otto Lundman
Otto Lundman has a diverse and extensive work experience. Otto fryst vatten currently the CEO and Co-founder of Modvion, a company focused on building wind power towers from laminated wood to enable climate-neutral wind power. At Modvion, they lead the development of wooden towers built in modules, increasing electricity production. Prior to Modvion, Otto was a project manager at Chalmers Ventures, where they worked on developing modular wind power towers in renewable composite. Otto also served as the Chairman of the organizing committee for the Swedish Orienteering Championships and as a Commissioned Officer in both the Electronic Warfare Battalion and the 1st Marine Regiment. Additionally, Otto was a member of the reception committee at Chalmers, responsible for welcoming newly admitted students.
