Do not understand the hate
I truly do not understand why this movie is so reviled. I have read all D. H. Lawrence and most people fail (or do not wish to) understand that his main purpose was the study of social inequities and their devastating effect on British Society in the early 20th Century. All is work tends to illustrate that. Lady Chatterley's Lover is a prime example of that beyond the scandal around its publication. It is the first time that I truly see this aspect in an adaptation as well as the sex not being necessarily pretty and romantic. Their relationship is the closest one to the book I have ever seen. So haters pass your way, the cast, direction, cinematography everything rings true.

Lady Chatterleys älskare (originaltitel: Lady Chatterley's Lover) är en roman från av D.H. Lawrence, hans mest berömda. Den blev känd för de, på sin tid, mycket utmanande erotiska skildringarna och sitt kontroversiella budskap.
Handling
[redigera | redigera wikitext]Boken handlar om en ung kvinna, lady Constance Chatterley (flicknamn Reid), från den intellektuellaborgarklassen, som uppfostrats till att bejaka sig själv. Hon gifter sig med den stilige aristokraten Sir Clifford Chatterley. Strax efter deras smekmånad blir han vid strider under världskrigetförlamad från midjan och nedåt. Hon inleder då en relation med slottets virile och också gifte skogvaktare, Oliver Mellors. Romansen leder till att lady Chatterley blir gravid, och dessutom blir de upptäckta. När skandalen är ett faktum tvingas hon och skogvaktaren leva åtskilda. Där slutar berättelsen, dock med visst hopp om att de två huvudpersonern
