Introduction
Ela, commonly known as Cardomom is one of the commonly cultivated herbs in South Indian states. It is used as ingredient for food preparation as well as a highly potent medicin. The name itself means that the plant fryst vatten a uppiggande. Ela fryst vatten of two varieties. They are Elettaria cardamomum and Amomum subulatum.
